Atletico Madrid will speak with Barcelona and try to do a deal for Alexis Sanchez, reports in Spain have claimed.
AS say Alexis has a long list of suitors, including Premier League trio Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United, and Italian champions Juventus.
Atletico are also in the running, the report says, but the champions wouldn’t be able to afford Alexis’ €30m asking price or his wages, but hard and lengthy negotiations with Barca could be opened in an effort to reunite Alexis with Diego Simeone.
Simeone worked with the Chile international during their days at River Plate but Alexis’ future won’t be resolved until he returns from a summer holiday.
Inclusion in Barca’s offer for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez remains possible, but a move to Atletico would allow Alexis to remain in Spain and play in the Champions League.
