Del Bosque ‘thinking of quitting’

Vicente Del Bosque could still decide to resign as Spain Coach after La Roja’s World Cup exit.

Mundo Deportivo claims Del Bosque will decide on his future over the next few days and while the RFEF wants him to continue, as it stands there’s no guarantee he will.

Xavi Hernandez and David Villa won’t be part of the national team going forward, the report adds, while the future of Xabi Alonso is as unclear as that of the Coach.

Iker Casillas is in a similar position to Alonso although it’s thought the Federation will ask the Real Madrid goalkeeper to stay on until Euro 2016.

Fernando Torres wants to continue to be part of the national team, it’s believed, but his position depends on whether or not he is named by the Coach, whoever it is, for the post-World Cup squads.

As for Del Bosque, he is said to be tired of what are seen as orchestrated campaigns against him and could walk away from La Seleccion after six years in charge.
