Emery sorry after failed breathalyser

Sevilla boss Unai Emery has apologised after failing a breathalyser test in Valencia earlier this week.

The tactician was in the city on his holidays, recuperating ahead of the Rojiblancos’ pre-season which starts next month.

However, as the 42-year-old admitted, he was caught by the police after drinking with friends.

“On Thursday I was stopped by local police in Valencia and was breathalysed,” Emery posted on his official Twitter account.

“Drinks with friends had lengthened, and instead of taking a taxi I drove. I have been fined and taken four points on my licence.

“I want to apologise. I am learning from my mistake.

“I can only say sorry because I know that drinking and driving is wrong. It is not the image a public figure should show.”
