Luis Suarez has revealed Uruguay’s 2-1 win over England was the game of his dreams after the Liverpool striker scored both goals.
Suarez, who has today been linked with a move to Barcelona, was a doubt for the fixture after undergoing knee surgery a month ago.
“Yes, I dreamed a lot about this game,” Suarez confirmed after the match, according to Marca.
“I imagined this match many times and I had to calm down.
“When I hit the ball it was a great experience, especially for all that was said about me in the last game.
“I have so many people to thank for what I’ve experienced personally, especially my wife and my two children, who have been with me everywhere.
“And then Walter Ferreira, the physiotherapist who helped me recover because without him I wouldn’t be here, and the team and the Coach who encouraged me every day.”
