Bravo to Barca done – report

Reports across Spain claim Barcelona have all-but completed the signing of Real Sociedad’s Chile international goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.

Mundo Deportivo say Bravo has agreed a four-year contract and will move for a fee in the region of €12m.

The clubs had to agree different terms after Jonathan Dos Santos refused to be part of the transaction, which meant Barca had to pay a higher price for Bravo.

Once all the necessary paperwork is signed, Bravo will become a Barca player, and it is only the documentation that is now holding up the deal.

Barca had hoped to announce the signing yesterday and will do so as soon as it becomes official.

Luis Enrique wanted Bravo’s signing to have a goalkeeper capable of competing for the starting spot with Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, not because he doubts the Germany international.

La Real originally insisted that Bravo could only move for the €30m stipulated in his contract but eventually changed their stance to not accepting anything less than Barca paid for Ter Stegen.

The move will be confirmed either today or tomorrow.
