Former Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain could be set for a return to La Liga with Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.
Higuain joined Napoli last summer but Marca have reported that Barca Coach Luis Enrique has identified the Argentina international as the centre-forward he wants for next season.
Mundo Deportivo add that the Higuain-to-Barca rumour first surfaced at the end of May and claim Higuain is Barca’s alternative to Sergio Aguero.
Higuain would move for between €35m and €38m, MD add, and both newspapers say the move is close to being completed.
But late Sunday night Napoli used their official Twitter account to reject the Press reports and say they were of no foundation.
