Sevilla captain Ivan Rakitic could be a Barcelona player by the end of the day as representatives from the two clubs are meeting in Seville.
Sport reports that sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta and Javier Faus, Barca’s Vice-President for finances, are sitting down with Sevilla general manager Jose Maria Cruz and sporting director Monchi.
They will discuss if any Barca players will be included in the offer for Rakitic, with Ibrahim Afellay, Cristiano Tello and Denis Suarez the names mentioned.
Sport add that Rakitic’s move is considered inevitable and could trigger Cesc Fabregas’ move to Chelsea.
The fee for Rakitic would be in the region of €20m. It had been reported that Sevilla were not happy with Barca’s initial bid.
