Sevilla are said to be deeply unimpressed by the first offer for captain Ivan Rakitic from Barcelona.
AS reports that the Europa League winners were ‘disgusted’ by a bid of between €10m and €12m for a player valued closer to €18m.
Rakitic is said to already have a deal in place with Barca but the clubs haven’t yet reached an agreement, but it’s felt that it won’t be an easy negotiation after Barca’s low first approach.
But Rakitic’s contract expires in 12 months, so Los Rojiblancos are said to understand they will have to make a deal with Barca eventually.
