Real Madrid have been in contact with the agent of Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos, AS have reported.
Kroos’ deal with Bayern ends next summer and a renewal isn’t thought to be in the offing, with the two sides far apart over the terms of the contract.
The Germany international is said to have asked Bayern to listen to offers for him, while Pep Guardiola’s team are deciding whether to risk losing him next season for free, or cash in now.
Manchester United were in the running to sign Kroos but Madrid are understood to have joined the chase, although the player wants to know where he stands before the World Cup starts and, as such, any deal would have to be rushed through, making it unlikely to happen.
