Barca waiting for Cuadrado deal

Barcelona will next week step up their interest in Juan Cuadrado when Fiorentina buy the right-back outright from Udinese.

Cuadrado is currently co-owned by the Italian clubs but it’s thought the Viola will pay €11m for his services, and sent two young players to Udine, Sport reports.

Once the deal is done, the Florence club will be able to speak with Barca about the Columbian, although Barca face a hefty price tag to get him out of Serie A.

Fiorentina paid €7m to buy half of Cuadrado and want to make a profit on the player so will need more than their €18m investment.

Barca could pay in the region of €25m for Cuadrado, a player requested by Luis Enrique, to replace Dani Alves.

Alves is expected to join Paris Saint-Germain, possibly as part of Barca’s bid for Marquinhos.

Cuadardo will however snub interest from Arsenal to go to Camp Nou and will be asked to compete with Martin Montoya for the right-back position under Enrique.
