Jonathan Dos Santos doesn’t want to move to Real Sociedad despite Barcelona including him in their offer for Claudio Bravo.
Barca were to pay €10m plus Dos Santos for the Chile goalkeeper but Dos Santos’ reluctance to go to Anoeta has delayed the transfer, AS reports.
Talks between the teams have persisted since the end of the season and the Dos Santos-plus-cash deal was a breakthrough agreement, only for negotiations to resume with Dos Santos’ refusal.
Barca may try to talk Dos Santos into the move but he has twice rejected La Real in the past 12 months. Bojan also declined the opportunity to switch to Jagoba Arrasate’s team.
Ibrahim Afellay will be the next player offered to Sociedad and the midfielder isn’t totally opposed to the idea, and could make the switch.
But if Barca can’t find a player to include in the deal they face having to renegotiate the price they are paying for Bravo, which would likely mean the transfer couldn’t be completed before the World Cup, which is the club’s wish.
