Netherlands name WC squad

Spain’s first World Cup opponents, the Netherlands, have named their 23-man squad for the tournament.

Louis van Gaal calls on the experience of former Real Madrid trio Wesley Sneijder, Arjen Robben and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, as well as Manchester United’s Robin van Persie.

Rafael van der Vaart misses out through injury but Jonathan de Guzman, the Villarreal midfielder who has spent the last two years on loan at Swansea City, is included.

Spain meet the Dutch in their opening Group B game on June 13.
