Atletico Madrid defender Juanfran has rejected a second approach in 12 months from Premier League club Arsenal.
AS claims that Arsene Wenger wanted the right-back in 2013 and the Gunners were willing to increase Juanfran’s salary four-fold.
But Juanfran rejected the overture out of loyalty to Atletico and was given a new contract by the club in return.
Wenger made another attempt to sign the player a matter of weeks ago but it was similarly dismissed.
Juanfran is said to prefer staying with Atletico to switching to England because he is happy with his current employers and prefers to remain with this group of players.
