Zidane to replace Ancelotti?

Reports in Italy overnight claim that should Carlo Ancelotti lose the Champions League final, Zinedine Zidane will be named the new Real Madrid Coach.

Gazzetta dello Sport have insisted that President Florentino Perez has already decided that should the current boss fail to beat Atletico Madrid in Lisbon, the former Blancos midfielder will be given his chance in the hot-seat.

It’s an amazing revelation, after stories in the European Press have circulated in recent weeks suggesting that Zizou was not experienced enough to take charge at Santiago Bernabeu.

It has been thought that Zidane will be allowed to leave to take the Bordeaux or Monaco job this summer, before returning to the Spanish capital at a later date.

But the Milan-based sports daily say that is not the case, with the game tomorrow deciding his future.
