The Spanish Press are reporting that Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa has been cleared to face Barcelona this weekend.
The 25-year-old missed the Rojiblancos’ 1-1 draw with Malaga on Sunday after suffering a muscular injury and it was initially feared he would miss the remainder of the season.
However, a reported meeting took place at Atleti’s training ground yesterday between Coach Diego SImeone, the club’s head of medical staff, the Fitness Coach and Costa himself in order to determine the best way forward in the player’s recovery.
After being monitored completing gym work and training on the pitch, it appears Costa has been told by doctors that he will be able to line-up in the title decider at Camp Nou.
