Bordeaux: Zidane just a rumour

The President of Bordeaux has insisted there is nothing concrete in rumours Real Madrid assistant Zinidine Zidane will be appointed Coach.

Reports in France had claimed Zidane was ‘90% certain’ to take over for next season and Zidane has confirmed he wants to take a Coaching post in the near future.

Francis Gillot is currently employed as the Bordeaux Coach and the club’s President, Jean-Louis Triaud, has told RMC that the club’s next step isn’t confirmed.

“It’s a rumour and when the time has arrived to talk about next year’s team, we’ll talk,” Triaud said, according to AS.

Zidane has been linked with replacing Claudio Ranieri at Monaco. He was named as one of Carlo Ancelotti’s assistants last summer, when the Italian was appointed from Paris Saint-Germain.
