Ter Stegen ‘100% sure’ of Barca move

Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has said he has no doubts he has made the right decision to sign for Barcelona.

The Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper said an emotional goodbye to his current club after their final home fixture of the season this weekend, but insisted he was making the right move.

“I think everyone understands why I cried. I’ve spent all my life at this club and it will always be in my heart. I thank the club and I’ll be a fan for life,” Mundo Deportivo reports Ter Stegen as saying.

“But while this goodbye is painful I don’t at all regret my departure. I’m 100% with my decision to sign for Barca.”

The report adds that there is a movement to convince Germany Coach Joachim Low to name Ter Stegen as the national team’s first choice for the World Cup.

“Of course I’d love to be with the national team. I’ve had a good season,” was all Ter Stegen had to say on the matter.
