Juan Ignacio Martinez has called on Real Valladolid to show the same level for the rest of the season they did in beating Espanyol.
Pucela took a 1-0 win over Javier Aguirre’s side and should they win their final three games, would be safe from the drop.
Valladolid have a game in hand on the teams around them, to come on Wednesday against Real Madrid at Jose Zorrilla.
“We depend on what we do,” Marca reports Martinez as saying after the win over Espanyol.
“We have to compete at the same level from minute one today and contest every ball as if it were our last.”
The winning goal was scored in the 20th minute by right-back Antonio Rukavina.
