Alcaraz bemoans Granada luck

Lucas Alcaraz believes his side were unfortunate in their 4-0 defeat against Sevilla on Sunday.

A Diego Mainz own goal opened the scoring before Kevin Gameiro added a second, tapping home after Tiago Illori wrong-footed his goalkeeper.

“I can’t remember a game with two own goals,” Marca reports Alcaraz as saying at a post-match Press conference.

“We were doing well before that, admittedly without causing many problems for the opponent.

“Those first two goals were a big advantage.”

Alcaraz added however that he was pleased with the overall performance of his side against a team he believes has the third-best squad in La Liga.

The Coach also called on his side to pick up their performance against Rayo Vallecano in their next fixture.

“Now we have Rayo on Sunday and we need to impress, get our injured players back and we can get the job done,” Alcaraz said.

“The group has raised themselves many times and I’m convinced that on Sunday we will take the game forward.”
