Paco Jemez has said that rather than relax upon Rayo Vallecano reaching 40 points, he wants his team to work even harder.
Rayo reached the 40-point tally with a 3-1 win over struggling Real Betis and Marca has reported that at his post-match Press conference, Jemez advised his players against slacking off.
“I think safety will arrive with the points we have,” Jemez said.
“As I said last week, winning to achieve safety was the first objective but we must demand more and finish as high as possible.
“It has been a difficult season but we can end it well and leave the team in a great situation.
“We have it in our hands to make it a great campaign. I’m happy but this isn’t it and we have to move on.
“Holidays start on May 18 and it’s not a problem if anyone wants to take it before then, but they will stay on the outside.
“I know there won’t be a problem, but be warned.”
