EL: Sevilla to play Valencia

Sevilla will play La Liga rivals Valencia in the semi-finals of this year’s Europa League.

The clubs were paired at today’s draw in Nyon with Benfica and Juventus contesting the other semi-final.

Sevilla will be at home in the first-leg, to be played on April 24 at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Valencia will host the second-leg at Mestalla on May 1.

Sevilla defeated Porto last night to reach the semi-final, running out 4-1 winners on aggregate.

Valencia, after losing 3-0 to Basel in the first-leg, progressed courtesy of a 5-0 extra-time win in which Paco Alcacer scored a hat-trick.

The final is held in Turin on May 14. The winners of the Sevilla-Valencia tie will be the home side in the final.
