Ivan Rakitic was reluctant to speak too much about Sevilla’s Europa League win over Porto, insisting that working hard is more important.
Rakitic played as Los Rojiblancos beat Porto 4-0 in the quarter-final second-leg, overturning the Portuguese’s first-leg advantage.
Asked after the match for his thoughts on the result and the semi-final draw, Mundo Deportivo reports the captain was reticent.
“We must go on, speak little and work hard,” he said.
“It was a beautiful moment but there are four teams capable of winning the tournament. We’re confident.
“Now we must rest [for the derby with Real Betis].
“The derby is an important game because we want to remain strong in the League.”
Sevilla are joined in the semi-final draw by Valencia, Juventus and Benfica.
