Former Valencia President arrested

Former Valencia President Juan Soler has been arrested after being accused of attempted kidnap on his successor at the club.

Soler was in charge of Los Che for four years between 2004 and 2008, before Vicente Soriano took over the running of the Mestalla outfit.

And according to Las Provincias, the 58-year-old businessman has been detained by police after reportedly hiring a professional to kidnap Soriano.

Soler, who was granted bail and handed a restraining order against Soriano, has been accused of hiring someone for around €100,000 to kidnap the former President.

A trial will begin soon.
