Joaquin Caparros thought his Levante side were deservedly beat by Athletic Bilbao on Monday evening.
The Granotes lost 2-1 to Los Leones yesterday, to leave them in ninth on 40 points.
“Athletic were better than us,” he told a Press conference. “I didn’t think we were able to compete.
“During the first half we played exactly the same as we did against Celta – we could do nothing.
“If this team has got 40 points it’s because of what we did in the second half.
“Today we failed completely, so even if we’re in the top half we can’t relax.”
