Pizzi: Valencia lacked force

Juan Antonio Pizzi believes Valencia weren’t forceful enough in the goalless draw with Real Valladolid.

Los Che were held at Jose Zorilla by the relegation strugglers and Pizzi told his post-match Press conference that Valencia went there with the intention of winning.

“We weren’t forceful enough and we had chances to score,” Pizzi said.

“I’m concerned we weren’t able to win because that was our intention. Had we taken any of our chances, we could have won.”

Valencia’s next game is the second-leg of their Europa League quarter-final with Basel and despite trailing 3-0 from the first encounter, Pizzi is adamant Valencia can progress.

“The last thing we lose is hope,” the Coach said.
