Granada ‘excited’ for Levante

Granada Coach Lucas Alcaraz believes his side are eagerly anticipating Monday night’s fixture with Levante.

Two places and three points separate the sides before kick-off and Alcaraz told a Press conference that his players are raring to go.

“The match will be competitive and we need to take advantage of our form and earn the points,” Alcaraz said.

“We’ve got a lot of enthusiasm and motivation and we’re excited.

“We need the fans, team and whole city to create an incredible atmosphere in the stands.

“It will be a close game. We need men behind the ball and to be patient because Levante are well organised. They make it difficult for other teams to play their game.”

Alcaraz was asked about the situation regarding Dani Benitez, who is alleged to have tested positive for cocaine.

“I’ve nothing more to add than what was said by the club,” Alcaraz said.

“We have to put this aside for the match on Monday. It’s not a nice issue.”
