Calderon: Only results matter

Gabriel Calderon has said that if Real Betis don’t beat Malaga then none of their other results this season will matter.

Malaga are two points clear of the drop zone and 10 clear of bottom side Betis, who themselves are nine points adrift of safety.

“Every game is a final because there is less margin of error,” Calderon told his pre-match Press conference.

“The team is going into every game with the right frame of mind.

“We have to win games because if we don’t the rest of the results aren’t important.”

Calderon added that Malaga are likely to go to Benito Villamarin believing they can claim three points.

“Malaga have won away at difficult stadiums. The key will be intensity and focus and not letting Malaga play their game,” Calderon continued.

“Mathematically we are still in with a chance of staying up. We have to play the matches and as long as that’s the case, we will keep fighting.”
