Paco Jemez believes that while Rayo Vallecano’s game against Osasuna won’t be pivotal in the relegation fight, it is still important.
The sides meet in Vallecas tonight and are separated by only a point, with Rayo in 15th and Osasuna two places further back.
Rayo have been in good form of late and Jemez told his pre-match Press conference that maintaining it is the objective.
“We’ve got to try and keep up our good run and although the game isn’t definitive or a final, it would give us breathing room,” Jemez said.
“We just have to win, play well and take the points.
“It’s possibly the most important game we’ll play this year. Hopefully I’m right about that.”
