Ernesto Valverde had few complaints with the result after Athletic Bilbao drew 0-0 with Elche on Tuesday.
Athletic are now nine points clear of Sevilla in fourth place and told his post-match Press conference that the conditions at Martinez Valero made the match difficult.
“The first game between us was more fun. Today there were fewer chances because of the wind and how the teams played,” Valverde said.
“The result is fair. It was difficult to create chances today.
“We need to learn how to play these games. Elche are very organised and know how to play their style.
“Our intention was to go out and win but it was difficult against the wind and our opponent pressed high. But we never stopped fighting.”
