Madrid to appeal Ramos red

Real Madrid will appeal Sergio Ramos’ red card against Barcelona with the hope that he can play against Sevilla on Wednesday.

The centre-back was shown a straight red card in the match at Santiago Bernabeu last night, after he allegedly tripped Neymar inside the penalty area.

The Spain international has since been critical of referee Undiano Mallenco, claiming that he was based towards the Blaugrana.

However, Marca insist that Los Blancos will appeal the red card to the Competition Committee, in the hope that he will be available for the game at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan this week.
