Osasuna Coach Javi Gracia believes the referee played a pivotal role in his side’s defeat to Sevilla.
Sevilla won 2-1 and Gracia believes his side had decisions go against them before and after the spot kick.
“There was a foul on Damia before their penalty and in the second half there was a clean handball by [Federico] Fazio.
“It’s been a bad game and we weren’t ourselves but I think these decisions from the referee have been decisive.”
Gracia added at his post-match Press conference that Osasuna’s performance wasn’t up to scratch and admitted they need points quickly to avoid the drop.
“We’ve had a bad game. We started well but little by little we got worse.
“Their second goal damaged our hopes and from then we didn’t do anything right. It wasn’t a good game for us.
“We’re in a worrying situation because we’re missing very important opportunities. It’s complicated but we must change our reality.
“We could get into a dangerous position but I’m confident we’ll turn things around.”
