Pizzi repeats Europa League aim

Juan Antonio Pizzi has reiterated his desire to win the Europa League this season after Valencia won 3-0 against Ludogorets.

Los Che took a commanding lead from the first leg in Bulgaria despite having Seydou Keita sent off in the first half.

Diego Alves saved the resulting penalty to maintain the lead that Antonio Barragan’s early strike had delivered.

Fede doubled the advantage before half time before Philippe Senderos added a third, while Ludogorets also ended the game with 10 men when Juninho Quixada was dismissed.

Despite racking up three goals, Pizzi insisted at his post-match Press conference that Valencia are not through yet.

“We want to win the Europa League and we have a great advantage, more than we could have expected, but the tie isn’t decided,” the Coach told reporters.

“I don’t call things until they’re actually over. Our opponents will be driven to come back.

“We believe we can win this tournament and we’ll try to show that in all our matches.”
