Barcelona have yet to decide on the future of winger Gerard Deulofeu, who is currently on loan at Everton.
AS reports that unlike the case of Rafinha, the midfielder sent to Celta Vigo and whose return next season is guaranteed, Deulofeu’s case is still up in the air.
There’s no question over Deulofeu’s ability, AS adds, but rather if he would benefit from a second year in the Premier League more than a recall to Camp Nou.
Rafinha, however, will be brought back to Barca after impressing under Luis Enrique at Celta. In particular, his performances against Real Madrid have convinced the Barca hierarchy, including sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta, he can be relied upon in big games.
The pair are in the mix with new signing Alen Halilovic for a role in the Barca first team next season. Croatia international Halilovic, who will join from Dinamo Zagreb, will be judged in part on how he performs at the World Cup.
