Caparros: Levante gave everything

Joaquin Caparros has praised Levante’s commitment, both in the win over Osasuna and every game they play.

Les Granotes beat Osasuna 2-0 and took the lead after four minutes, moving to seventh in the table prior to Sunday’s fixtures.

Caparros told a post-match Press conference that Levante were getting rewards for the sacrifice they make during the 90 minutes.

“It’s a delight to watch this team play,” Caparros said.

“We can play well or not but this team puts its soul into games. It’s a team with soul, in capital letters.

“We’re closer to staying up but regardless of the points this team is everything.”

Levante went down to 10 men on the hour mark after Victor Casadesus was sent off and Caparros was impressed by how the team adapted.

“The team is very strong,” he added.

“With 10 players we tripled our efforts and Keylor Navas gave us assurance.

“I have to congratulate the whole group.”

Levante meet Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu in their next League game and Caparros called for his team to take confidence from this result and performance.

“We need to convey that this team knows how to compete,” Caparros said of the visit to the capital.

“Real Madrid are in their best form of this season but we can rest now. There’s plenty of time to prepare.”
