Athletic Bilbao boss Ernesto Valverde claimed that the 4-0 win over Granada was ‘more complicated’ than the scoreline would suggest.
Aritz Aduriz netted a hat-trick as Los Leones beat their Andalusian rivals at San Mames on Friday night.
But the Coach has insistent that the three points were harder to come by than the final score.
“We have to keep adding wins, especially when we’re in this position,” he told a Press conference.
“We’re fourth at the moment, but we want to tie up the last Champions League place sooner rather than later.
“The result was perhaps a little more complicated than the score would suggest. But winning by four goals will certainly give us confidence going forward.
“Aritz’s first two goals were brilliant, we’re delighted he’s ours.”
