Luis Enrique believes Celta Vigo’s task against Getafe was made more difficult when Lisandro Lopez was sent off.
Getafe took the lead in the 20th minute but had Lopez dismissed six minutes in to the second half, with Rafinha levelling for Celta shortly after.
Enrique said at a post-match Press conference that his side tried to take charge of the game but found it difficult considering how Getafe approached the game.
“We had the best of intentions, looking for the three points,” Enrique said.
“Little by little we’ve created chances and we at least deserved the draw.
“The sending off complicated the game because our opponents forgot about attacking.
“Trying to attack an opponent who has a clearly defensive mentality and quality in that area is difficult.
“That made things tough for us but we never stopped trying.”
