‘We won’t struggle keeping Courtois’

Jose Mourinho has claimed that Chelsea will have ‘no trouble’ keeping Thibaut Courtois, amidst rumours that Real Madrid are keen.

AS reported on Friday that Los Blancos were going to sign the Belgian goalkeeper, with his future at Stamford Bridge still unclear.

The shot-stopper has been on loan at Vicente Calderon for the last three seasons, but has admitted that he doesn’t want to return to England if he’s not first choice.

The Portuguese Coach though, is insistent that his team can keep hold of the youngster.

“We won't struggle to keep him. He has two more years of contract,” he told a Press conference.

“When you want a player and the player has two more years of contract, it is easy to say that we have no problems.

“If somebody wants him, we have to know. It is easy for us.

“I don't need to give assurances to any player. A player that has a contract with Chelsea, has a contract with Chelsea.”
