Jose Mourinho is said to want to take Sami Khedira from Real Madrid to Chelsea at the end of the season.
Mundo Deportivo cites a report from Tutto Mercato that claims the Portuguese attempted to sign Khedira last summer, when he swapped Santiago Bernabeu for Stamford Bridge.
Khedira is currently ruled out with a long-term knee injury but if the Germany international makes a full recovery, Mourinho will again approach his former club with an offer for the midfielder.
But it’s not certain Madrid will let Khedira go as current Coach Carlo Ancelotti is said to value the 26-year-old, who opted to stay in Spain last summer, rather than join Mourinho.
