Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro could be on his way to Porto after the Portuguese giants enquired into his availability.
Porto are said by AS to be looking for a replacement for Fernando, who could leave the club before the end of the transfer window.
Casemiro could be allowed to leave on loan for the rest of the season after struggling to break into the first team despite a strong showing in pre-season.
The presence of Xabi Alonso, Luka Modric and Asier Illarramendi in the Madrid midfield have meant Casemiro’s minutes have been limited.
A number of clubs are keen to sign the Brazilian before the transfer deadline, with the likes of Real Betis, Malaga and Inter expressing an interest.
Madrid paid Sao Paolo €6m for Casemiro and recently extended his contract at the club until 2017.
