Unai Emery insisted he was ‘satisfied’ with his Sevilla side’s performance after they drew 1-1 with Atletico Madrid.
Ivan Rakitic’s penalty cancelled out David Villa’s earlier strike as the Rojiblancos claimed a point at Vicente Calderon.
“I was satisfied with the way we played,” he told a Press conference. “But I’m delighted to get a point here.
“Our approach was to let them have the ball and then take advantage on the break. We struggled in the first 25 minutes, but after that we did well.
“We stepped up to the plate though, and managed to get the draw.
“It’s another step forwards for us. Competing on the same level as Atletico Madrid is important for us.”
