Neymar facing three weeks out

Neymar is expected to be fit for Barcelona’s Champions League tie with Manchester City after spraining his ankle against Getafe.

Mundo Deportivo reports that the initial feeling is that the Brazil international will miss three weeks of playing and training but should be able to return in time for the resumption of the Champions League.

Barca travel to Manchester on February 18, with the return leg taking place on March 12.

Neymar fell awkwardly when attempting to keep the ball in play in the Copa del Rey win over Getafe and had to be substituted part-way through the first-half.

The forward will undergo full tests on Friday, once Barcelona return from Madrid.

Barca won the game 2-0 through a Lionel Messi brace, racking up a 6-0 aggregate victory.

Neymar has only just returned to the first team after a bout of gastroenteritis forced him onto the sidelines.
