Betis chasing Pantilimon

Real Betis are set to offer Manchester City back-up goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon the chance to play first team football.

Pantilimon has been at City since 2012 but has almost exclusively acted as cover for England No. 1 Joe Hart, with a run of games this season when Hart was dropped the Romanian’s longest spell in the side.

Hart however returned to Manuel Pellegrini’s starting XI and Pantilimon was again benched, but Betis have identified the 26-year-old as a potential signing, AS reports.

Betis Coach Juan Carlos Garrido is said to want a more solid option in goal to aid his side’s relegation struggle, with Betis currently stranded at the bottom of the League table.
