Real Betis are set to pay over €2m to secure Atletico Madrid’s Leo Baptistao on loan until the end of eh season.
AS are reporting that an agreement for the Brazilian forward’s temporary switch down to Andalucia is imminent, whilst Diego Simeone hinted at today’s Press conference Jose Sosa’s arrival may open the door for others to leave Atleti.
Believed to be pipping the likes of Baptistao’s former club Rayo Vallecano and West Ham to his signature, it is being reported that Betis are paying out €2.3m for the deal.
Los Beticos, currently bottom of La Liga, will reportedly take over the player’s wages for his six months at the Benito Villamarin, totalling €850,000, whilst Atletico will be paid €1,250,000 for loaning him out.
