Jese grateful for confidence

Jese Rodriguez says he is grateful for the chances afforded him in the Real Madrid team by Carlo Ancelotti and Zinedine Zidane.

On from netting Madrid’s final goal of 2013 in a 3-2 win at Valencia, the young striker scored the club’s first of 2014 to defeat Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in a friendly in Qatar yesterday afternoon.

“Playing minutes is very important and I have to make the most of it,” Jese commented afterwards.

“Playing for Madrid is very difficult, you have to make an impression and earn your place. I think that I deserve a place in the team and the manager is seeing that. I have to thank the manager and Zidane for the confidence they have shown in me.”
