Atletico Madrid’s Arda Turan has compared recent attempts to stop Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo as ‘like hitting a wall’.
The Turkish international was talking to TV8 this week in his home country and was asked of a recent clash with the Portuguese star, before clarifying that the two do not have any issues.
“When you try to stop him you should behave yourself but you cannot,” Arda commented on his attempts to tackle the Portuguese in the Madrid derby this season.
“I had to bump into him with my body. But it was like hitting a wall.
“Joking aside, he is a great and a special footballer. We live in the same area and always say hello when we encounter each other.”
