The Cameroon international has struggled for consistent game-time during the first 18 months of his career with the Catalans and as such, Rafa Benitez’s side are listed as seeing him ‘attainable’ this winter.
The Serie A outfit are described in various outlets as at least waiting for a response on the player’s availability from Barca, whilst Sport Mediaset assert that a deal is already close to being agreed.
It is understood that the Blaugrana would not allow for a midseason sale, but only a temporary six-month loan out to the Stadio San Paolo, before his return to the Camp Nou in June.
