Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes says the Portuguese is set to become the ‘best player of all time’ when he retires, and that he deserves more praise.
The 28-year-old is up against Franck Ribery and Lionel Messi for the FIFA Ballon d’Or award for 2013, set to be handed out in mid-January.
According to his agent, the Real Madrid man is more than worthy of taking home the award, for what would be a second time in his career.
“He deserves to win the Ballon d’Or. It would be extremely unfair and a lie if he did not win,” Mendes told RTP Madeira this week.
“He’s the best player in the world. I believe that when he finishes his career he will be the best player of all time.
“For all that he has done, I believe that things have been unfair on him, he has deserved more acclaim.”
