Ronaldo back for Madrid

As expected, Real Madrid have included Cristiano Ronaldo in their party for Tuesday’s trip out to Copenhagen.

The Portuguese hasn’t featured for Los Blancos in their last three games, missing wins over Galatasaray and Real Valladolid with a minor injury concern and then the weekend Cup draw at Xativa through suspension.

Confirmed on Friday by Carlo Ancelotti and the club as available next week, the 28-year-old has indeed returned to the matchday squad, named in the travelling party for the team’s closing Champions League group stage game away to Copenhagen.

Raphael Varane and Fabio Coentrao are still not fit, whilst Sergio Ramos sits out the match through suspension, after his red card against Galatasaray.

Gareth Bale makes the trip despite missing the weekend game affected with flu.

Real Madrid squad to face Copenhagen: Casillas, Diego López, Jesús Fernández, Pepe, Marcelo, Carvajal, Arbeloa, Nacho, Llorente, Bale, Xabi Alonso, Casemiro, Modric, Di María, Isco, Illarra, Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Jesé, Morata
