Barca scouts watch Ramsey

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey’s spectacular form this season has alerted Barcelona, reports the Daily Mail.

The Welsh international has been arguably the Premiership’s standout player of the season so far and it has not gone unnoticed in Catalunya, where Barca boss Tata Martino is weighing up his options as he looks where and when to strengthen his squad.

The Spanish giants have allegedly dispatched scouts to run the rule over Ramsey in Arsenal’s last four games and his country’s matches with Belgium and Macedonia, but Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger is in no mood to let the 22-year-old depart the Emirates Stadium.

The Frenchman signed Ramsey from Cardiff City for a reported €5m in June 2008 and has watched him blossom this term, with reports in England suggesting he would not even do business at the suggested €60m fee being bandied about.
