Angel Di Maria has asked his agent to engineer a move to Monaco in January, according to reports in the Spanish Press.
El Confidencial have claimed that the Real Madrid winger has grown increasingly unsettled at Santiago Bernabeu and wants to leave.
The 25-year-old has found himself forced out of Carlo Ancelotti’s starting XI this term following the arrival of Gareth Bale, and as such, has asked agent Jorge Mendes to find him a new club.
The paper believes that the Portuguese representative will use his contacts to open up a transfer to the French side.
Mendes helped Radamel Falcao move for Atletico Madrid to the Principality, and also aided in James Rodriguez, Ricardo Carvalho and Joao Moutinho in their relocation to Ligue 1.
Manchester United were said to have been keen on Di Maria, but now seem out of the running.
